What is Aurion?
Aurion is a Family Agent: one shared household context that works out how your family gets ready and asks before adding anything. It notices, suggests, you approve. Aurion comes with a 15.6-inch shared screen for the family, and is also available on iPhone, Android and the web. Forward emails to your dedicated Aurion address, or connect your inbox, including Gmail. You can also share a message or a spoken note. Aurion is made by AURION TECHNOLOGY LLC, a company based in Washington State, and its official website is hiaurion.com.
Aurion is in development and is not yet available for sale. We're inviting a small group of families into the beta, and beta families get Aurion with its 15.6-inch shared screen.

Who Aurion is for
Aurion is built for households with a lot moving at once: two or more school-age children, several activities in a week, and someone who has quietly become the family's memory.
A permission slip due tonight, picture day on Thursday and a party on Saturday each need preparation. Aurion works out those steps and proposes when to do them.
It is also built for everyone else in the house. The plan sits on a screen the whole family walks past.

When Aurion is not the right fit
- One person, one calendar. If the schedule you keep is only your own, a calendar app already does this better, and for free.
- The fridge calendar is working. If paper is holding up fine for your household, a screen will not change much.
- You want a photo frame first. Aurion has a family photo album and screensaver on the shared screen (available in beta), but it is built around the family's plan, and it shows photos only. If photos are the main reason, a dedicated frame is a better fit. Here's how it compares with Skylight.
Questions and answers
What does Aurion work with?
Aurion, with a 15.6-inch shared screen, works with:
- Google Calendar, iOS / Apple Calendar (iCloud) and Microsoft Outlook, all two-way; public iCal links, read-only.
- iPhone and Android apps, and a web browser.
- Forward selected emails to your dedicated Aurion address, or connect Gmail, iCloud Mail, Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo Mail or other IMAP mailboxes with read-only access.
Nothing is written to the shared calendar until someone approves.
Where is Aurion now? Can I buy one?
Not yet. Aurion is in development and not yet for sale. We're inviting a small group of families into the beta, and beta families get Aurion, with a 15.6-inch shared screen. Pricing has not been announced. To try it at home, join the beta list; places are by invitation.
Do other family members need to set anything up?
They install the Aurion app on iPhone or Android and accept your invite. After that, there's nothing to configure.
What is a family agent?
A family agent is an AI agent that works for a whole household rather than one person. Family members share one context — a shared calendar, preparation done together, and plans everyone can see. When it works out something that needs doing, it proposes it. Nothing is added to the family's schedule until someone approves. Aurion is a Family Agent.
How is Aurion different from a personal AI assistant?
A personal assistant works from one person's calendar and acts for that person. Aurion works from the whole household's calendars and from what any family member shares, puts the plan on a shared screen everyone sees, and adds nothing until someone approves.
What is Aurion?
Aurion is a Family Agent. Aurion comes with a 15.6-inch shared screen for the family, and is also available on iPhone, Android and the web. It holds one household's calendars, tasks, reminders, kids' routines and preparation together.
Is Aurion a calendar, or an AI assistant?
It is a Family Agent: the shared screen is what the family sees. The AI agent is what reads what you share, works out what has to happen beforehand, and proposes it.
How is Aurion different from a shared Google Calendar?
A shared calendar records when things happen. Aurion also works out what has to happen beforehand. When a family shares a school notice with Aurion, it proposes the preparation steps and the times for them, and the family confirms.
Which calendars can Aurion connect to?
Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook and iCloud, all two-way. Change an event on the screen and it writes back to the account it came from. Aurion can also subscribe to any public iCal link, such as a school term calendar or a sports team schedule. Those subscriptions are read-only.
Can I connect more than one account from the same provider?
Yes. A family can connect several Google accounts, for example one for each parent.
Do I need the screen, or can I just use my phone?
Aurion runs on iPhone, Android and the web. The shared screen is what makes the plan visible to the whole household without anyone opening an app.
How big is Aurion's screen?
Aurion has a 15.6-inch shared screen.
Does my child's school need to use Aurion?
No. The school does not install or sign up for anything. Forward emails to your dedicated Aurion address, or connect your inbox. Supported inboxes include Gmail, iCloud Mail, Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo Mail and other IMAP mailboxes.
Which mailboxes can I connect?
Gmail, iCloud Mail, Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo Mail and other IMAP mailboxes. You can also forward emails to your dedicated Aurion address instead. Connecting is read-only. Aurion does not send, delete, label or archive anything in your mailbox.
How long does Aurion keep my email?
Aurion’s source copies of email text, images and attachments have a seven-day retention period and are removed by periodic cleanup. This does not delete the originals in your connected inbox. Forwarded-mail delivery copies are cleaned after processing. If delivery or cleanup fails, those copies may be kept longer while processing is retried. Confirmed events, tasks and reminders remain.
Does Aurion change our calendar on its own?
No. Aurion proposes the steps. Nothing is written to the shared calendar until someone approves.
Who is Aurion for?
Busy households with school-age children and a lot on each week. It is a poor fit for one-person schedules or a paper calendar that already works.
Who in the family can use Aurion?
Everyone in the household. Plans and suggestions are visible on the shared screen.
Does Aurion require a subscription?
The calendar does not. Connecting your family's calendars, seeing everyone's plans on the shared screen, and adding or editing events are included with the device, with no recurring fee.
The AI agent is a subscription. That covers Aurion reading what you share with it, working out the preparation, and proposing it.
What do I get without a subscription?
Aurion as a shared family calendar. It syncs with Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, iCloud and public iCal links, shows the whole household's plans on one screen, and lets anyone add or change an event. No recurring fee.
How much will Aurion cost?
Pricing has not been announced.
What is Aurion not?
Aurion is not a smart speaker, not a security camera, and not a replacement for your existing calendar. It connects to the calendar accounts a family already has.
What is not available yet
Aurion is in development. Features marked 'available in beta' are being tested with beta families and may change before launch. Device design, interfaces and example messages shown on this site are illustrative.
